Dr. John Wooten is a pediatric neurologist at Raleigh Neurology. I think he’s an excellent doctor. Here’s why:

He is considered by many to be an expert in the field.
He is a patient person and can sit with patients for a long time answering their questions. You never feel rushed or pressured to finish the appointment. This helps patients feel much better about the appointment.
He’s a good listener. He actually listens to your questions.
He recognizes that he and others in the medical field don’t know everything and he readily admits when the medical community doesn’t know something.
He doesn’t see an informed patient as a challenge to his authority like many doctors seem to nowadays. Instead, he encourages people to read and learn and he’s willing to discuss those findings.
He encourages patients to seek a second opinion which gives me even more confidence in his abilities.
